VisitCoding is an educational tool for the calculation of Evaluation and Management CPT® codes by medical professionals. The calculator employs a unique approach to prompt users for the components required by Medicare to justify care levels. This application dynamically computes the E&M code while inputting visit components, allowing for efficient note-taking while maximizing appropriate code levels.

Many clinicians inadvertently undercode due to complexities and ambiguities in CMS E&M Guidelines or coding by time, which often undervalues visits. With VisitCoding, clinicians can efficiently learn how to document visits, providing more time to focus on patient care. The app allows tailoring of documentation that suits clinical requirements.
The app adheres to the 1995, 1997, and 2021 CMS Documentation Guidelines for Evaluation and Management Services alongside the annually updated Current Procedural Technology® RVU tables.
